Joel Chalfen - Director Joel is currently researching the role of performance in community museums as part of the Performance, Learning and ëHeritage' project at The University of Manchester. This research will include practice with local museums, developing a performance with them and their community. Joel read English and Anthropology as an undergraduate at Gonville and Caius College , Cambridge , with particular emphasis on the relationship between theatre and ritual. He subsequently trained with Jacques Lecoq in Paris and in Classical Acting at LAMDA. After graduating from there, he worked with a number of theatre companies, principally as an actor but also as a director. Television and film credits include: Keen Eddie (Paramount Pictures); Mail Gaze (Laughing Buddha); Bonsai (Mercenary Films); and Song of Songs (Wild Horses Productions). Joel has also been a regular workshop leader with a number of theatre companies
Gabrielle Lobb - Director Gabrielle is currently researching Drama and Global Citizenship for her MA in Drama and Theatre in Education at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Gabrielle works as Education Consultant for iceandfire Theatre Company, devising and leading projects with young refugees and asylum seekers and taking these into mainstream settings. She is also Director of Participatory Programmes for DASH Arts for which she is currently co-ordinating the unique inter-faith schools photography project.
Richard Lobb - Musical Director Richard studied Music and Management at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). He went on to establish Chocolate Records and is now published by SerieAMusic . Richard is a regular favourite performing his own compositions on stage at world-famous acoustic venues, London 's Kashmir Klub and New York 's CeeBee's Gallery. His dynamic musical interpretations have accompanied Gabrielle's storytelling performances on a number of occasions. Richard has also composed music for television, including World's Strongest Man ! He is currently working on his debut album which is being produced by John Kelly (Chris Rea, Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Eddie Reader, The Beautiful South). ìRichard a breathy voice that is quite magical, his songs are intensely melodic and familiar yet they are quite different from anyone else.
